Description: The INHSU International Prisons Hepatitis Network (INHSU Prisons) will be holding its inaugural annual workshop on Tuesday 10 September 2019, adjacent to INHSU 2019 Montreal. The broad goal of the workshop is to bring together individuals interested in hepatitis care in custodial settings, to provide an overview of the current status of prison-based hepatitis C (HCV) testing and treatment services in key countries across the world, as well as showcase practical examples of strategies being used to increase HCV screening, linkage-to-care and treatment for the prisoner population. The workshop will feature keynote speakers, an interactive discussion activity designed to share key successes and challenges that are faced in the unique context of prisons, and an annual general meeting. The workshop will be followed by wine, cheese, and nibbles from 5pm – 6pm.
