Aquatic Exercise Program (FRIDAYS) - Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre - TERM 3 2019

This Aquatic Exercise program is an eight week, low cost exercise program for seniors and retirees. The Aquatic Exercise program is a low impact exercise program with low to moderate intensity physical activity. This program is suitable for seniors/retirees with stable long term health conditions. Classes are conducted in an indoor heated pool in a small group. This program includes 8 sessions delivered by a qualified instructor.

Dates: Fridays 26 July - 20 September 2019 (once a week)

Time: 2.30pm - 3.30pm (arrive 2.15pm).

Where: Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre, 504 Victoria Rd, Gladesville.

Parking: Free onsite car park at the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (entry off Margaret St or Weaver St) or in local surrounding streets.

Meeting Point: Inside the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre, at the lower lap pool (near the cafe).

Suitability: This program is suitable for seniors and retirees at risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes and bone or joint problems. Any fitness level, even if you have not been active for a while.

Equipment: Please bring your own water bottle, water and towel.

Clothing: Must be suitable for physical activity in an aquatic/pool environment.

Note: Each new program participant will be provided with a free short one-on-one consultation pre-program.

Cost: Free come & try session 26 July 2019, then $50 for 8 week program (8 sessions). Payment required from 2 August and can be made via EFTPOS payments (saving or cheque account) OR via credit card (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX which will include a small merchant fee). No cash payments accepted.

Please note: pool entry fee is extra and is to be paid separately upon entry to the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. Pool entry can be paid either as a casual entry per visit or via a multiple visit pass.

Bookings: Advanced bookings essential. Book early as places are strictly limited.
