Immerse yourself in a full day of wellness and spiritual practices in the magical setting of Tina's families heritage-listed church. This retreat is perfect for both beginners and experienced practitioners looking to deepen their practice.

• Qigong on the lawn - weather permitting

• Revitalising Asana practice based on the Yoga Synergy style

• Relaxing Sound Healing


Please bring your mat, bolster or cushion, blanket, comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and anything else to make you comfortable during the day.

9:30 - 10:30 AM: Qigong Practice (on the lawn, weather permitting)

- Gentle warm-up

- Basic Qigong moving meditation

- Closing and grounding exercise


10:30 - 10:45 AM: Tea Break

- Herbal tea and light refreshments


11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Asana Practice

- Return to main hall

- Dynamic yoga flow suitable for all levels based on the Yoga Synergy style


12:30 - 1:00 PM: Pranayama

- Seated breathing exercises

- Introduction to various pranayama techniques


1:00 - 2:00 PM: Lunch Break

- Vegetarian/vegan options

- Encourage mindful eating and connection with others


2:00 - 2:30 PM: Japa Meditation

- Introduction to Japa practice

- Silent meditation with mala beads (provided)


2:30 - 3:00 PM: Chanting

- Group chanting session

- Explanation of mantras and their meanings


3:00 - 4:00 PM: Sound Healing Session

- Participants lie down comfortably

- Use of singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments

- Closing gratitude circle

My name is Tina Summers & I have been a Yoga practitioner since the year 2000 & a teacher of this incredible thousands of year old practice since 2008. I am very humbled & honoured to have found this practice & continue to learn more & more over the years as I feel this is my calling to share with others.

Someone told me once – “When the student is ready the teacher will find you”. And I believe this to this very day. When you have the willingness to dedicate yourself to giving a little time each day for yourself, the lessons & guidance will be there. Taking that little time each day to move loving energy & information through your body, will set you up with the tools & energy to help share that with others. As to what else is there in life to help yourself & others enjoy this time we have?!

My teachers have been varied over the years beginning with my first beautiful teacher Ben Sofowora who was my inspiration to become a teacher. Though I had a long journey ahead he planted the seed. Then I had many teachers including the incredible Nicky Knoff, Peter Ujvari of Shadow Yoga & my current beautiful teachers Bianca Machliss & Simon Borg-Olivier of Yoga Synergy. I have also had some training from Master Yang of Calligraphy Health which is the Chinese Yoga style of Qi Gong.

I have combined all these beautiful teaching styles to incorporate my style of Yoga for the Modern body. We no longer sit on the floor to work, eat, rest or even to go to the toilet. We no longer cart our food for miles on our heads or balanced on our shoulders. Our lives have changed & with that Yoga has remained adaptable & still relevant, possibly more so than ever for this lifetime. My teacher Simon says – “Exercise is optional, Movement is vital”.

I have also included in my offerings my sound healing programs which incorporate crystal singing bowls tuned to 432mhz, harmonium & mantras. I have found these classes to be very relaxing & have had amazing feedback from all that attend. So if yoga & movement is not really for you, I am sure my sound baths & kirtan (the call & response of sacred mantras) may be a more suitable fit for people looking for relaxation classes.
