About this event

COVID normal is the new normal; however, the expectations around the effective utility of BI and analytics are not.

So, we have another chance to get together for a little while longer and talk about how we are traversing this familiar path of 'good and effective' BI and analytics. Are we effectively utilising the right tools, methodologies, and attitudes?

This AAIR vent gives members and the broader institutional research community an opportunity to come together and vent for half an hour over (byo) coffee.

AAIR e-Vent Series

This will be an interactive session for AAIR members and their colleagues who are interested in engaging in an e-Vent on business intelligence and analytics. While we can't promise that this will be what you're looking for, it WILL be extremely therapeutic.

If you and/or your colleagues are interested in participating in this AAIR vent, please register and we will send you a link to participate in the session.

Hosted by AAIR, convened by:

  • Lester DSouza, National Manager, Business Intelligence at Australian Catholic University, and AAIR SIG Leader.

Pricing:

  • Members: FREE
  • Non-members (PER SESSION): AUD$10 + GST + booking fee (AUD$12.64)
  • Not a member but want to be? Join here, then register for this vent for FREE!

Here are some of the topics we hope to cover during our discussion:

  • Navigating the changing environment (with technology)
  • Increased demand for data and analytics
  • Effective machine learning practices
  • Optimising team resources
  • And anything else you want to vent about

We look forward to e-meeting you in this e-Vent!

To advance insitutional effectiveness in tertiary education

AAIR is the professional association for institutional research practitioners in the tertiary education space in Australasia, and aims to raise the level of professional competence and practice in the fields of institutional research, planning and analysis.

'Institutional research' is viewed as a range of activities involving the collection, analysis and interpretation of information descriptive of an institution and its activities, including its students and staff, programs, management and operations, which in turn assists institutional leaders by informing their planning, decision making and policy formulation with the management of tertiary education, which leads to the improved understanding, planning and operation of these institutions.
