What is a Sound Journey (aka Sound Bath)?

A Sound Bath, Sound Meditation or Sound Journey is a sensory audio experience that brings profound calm, akin to years of meditation in a single session. Participating is simple - just show up and either lie down or sit comfortably. A variety of sounds, including healing Gongs, Himalayan Singing Bowls, Drums, Vocals and Handpan guide you on a unique journey.

What is Breathwork?

The term ‘breathwork’ is a catch-all for any conscious breath practice, something Kym embodies with his technique agnostic facilitation. Unlike many other guided breathwork events, the breathing protocols you’ll explore at Pneuma are designed to create safety & deep relaxation within the body by focusing on slow, rhythmic breathing and gentle breath holds.

Chris has been a performing musician for over 30 years and holds a Diploma in Integral Sound Healing - Multi Instrument - Practitioner Level, from the long established Sound Healing Academy in the UK. Kym Burls | Breathwork Coach

Kym is an experienced breathwork coach, based in Adelaide, who’s passionate about helping people learn to relax, regulate and reconnect, using the breath. Since 2019, Kym has spent 100's of hours studying breathwork from the world’s best mentors, and taught 2,000+ people, on three continents, of all ages and backgrounds, including athletes, military personnel & medical professionals. www.kymburls.com

The event is suitable for those aged 18 years and over.

Please let the facilitators know before booking if:

You are pregnant (not suitable for people in their first trimester) or looking to conceive
You have any cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions (e.g. stroke, high blood pressure, COPD)
You have epilepsy or recent head injuries
You have carotid stenosis, cardiac pacemakers, artificial heart valves, or cardiac arrhythmias
You have a stent, shunt or a deep brain stimulation device (DBS)
You have been diagnosed with PTSD, clinical depression, bipolar or any serious mental health conditions.

If you have specific questions relating to your condition, please contact the facilitators beforehand.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

All event registrations are non-refundable, except in special circumstances.*
Registrants who do not show up or who cancel, forfeit their ticket.
With approval, a transfer can be applied if notification is received in writing at least seven (7) days prior to the workshop.
Any cancellations within 7 days of the event will not be moved to another event, however you can on-sell or gift your ticket to another person.
All cancellations must be notified in writing.
