TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Welcome to Day on the Hill! We are committed to creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for all attendees.
Acceptance of Terms: By purchasing a ticket or attending this event, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined on this ticket.
Ticketing
• Ticket Purchase:
All tickets will be purchased through EventBrite. No unauthorised tickets will be accepted. No age restrictions.
Entry Conditions and Requirements:
• Ticket and Identification:
• Ticket: All attendees must present a valid ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased online only. There are no tickets available at the gate.
• Children: All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
• Free Entry for Infants: Children under 2 years old can enter for free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
• Prohibited Items:
• Alcohol and Drugs: This is a drug-free and alcohol-free event. No alcohol, illegal substances, or related paraphernalia are allowed on the premises.
• Weapons: No weapons of any kind, including knives, firearms, or any items that could be used as weapons, are permitted.
• Right to Refuse Entry: We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who violates the terms or poses a security risk.
Health and Safety:
• COVID-19 and Sick Policy: Please do not attend the event if you or your family members are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness.
• Medical Emergencies: A qualified medical team will be available for medical emergencies should this be required on the day.
• Sanitation: Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event. Please use them regularly and follow any health guidelines provided by the event organizers.
Code of Conduct for Day on the Hill
To ensure everyone has a positive experience, please adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Respect for Others
• Behavior: Treat all attendees, staff, volunteers, and vendors with kindness and respect. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
• Language: Use appropriate language at all times. Offensive, aggressive, or inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.
• Personal Space: Respect the personal space of others. Avoid unwanted physical contact or behaviour that makes others uncomfortable.
2. Family-Friendly Atmosphere
• Content: Keep all activities, attire, and conversations family-friendly. This event is for all ages, so please refrain from anything that may be deemed inappropriate for children.
• Dress Code: Wear appropriate clothing suitable for a family event. Attendees in attire that is considered offensive or inappropriate may be asked to change or leave the event.
3. Supervision of Children
• Parental Responsibility: Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Ensure that your children stay within designated areas and behave appropriately.
• Lost Children: If you become separated from your child, immediately notify event staff. We have a designated area for lost children where they will be safely cared for until reunited with their guardians.
4. Inclusivity
• Diversity: Celebrate diversity and be inclusive of all attendees, regardless of their background, beliefs, or abilities.
• Accessibility: Be mindful of attendees with disabilities or special needs. Allow space for wheelchairs, strollers, and assistive devices, and offer assistance if needed.
5. Cleanliness and Environmental Responsibility
• Littering: Dispose of rubbish and recycling in the appropriate bins provided throughout the event area. Help keep the environment clean for everyone.
• Respect Property: Treat all event facilities, equipment, and decorations with care. Damaging property or vandalism is not acceptable and may result in removal from the event.
7. Zero Tolerance Policy
• Harassment and Violence: Any form of harassment, violence, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the event and possible involvement of law enforcement.
• Consequences: Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event without a refund, and you may be banned from future events hosted by LORDS organizers.
8. Reporting Issues
• Contacting Staff: If you experience or witness any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to event staff immediately. We are here to help and ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
Right to Change Event Details
• Program and Schedule: The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the event program, schedule, or activities without prior notice. This may include modifications to the lineup, timing, or specific activities planned for the event.
• Venue Changes: If necessary, the event venue may be changed. Attendees will be notified of any venue changes as soon as possible via the contact information provided during ticket purchase or through official event communication channels.
• Guest Appearances: Any advertised guest appearances, performers, or speakers are subject to availability. The organizers reserve the right to substitute or cancel these appearances if required.
2. Event Cancellation or Postponement
• Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the community event must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to extreme weather, safety concerns, or other emergencies, all reasonable efforts will be made to notify attendees promptly.
o Refunds: If the event is cancelled, ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund. Details of the refund process will be communicated through official channels.
• Postponement: If the event is postponed to a later date, your ticket will automatically be valid for the rescheduled event. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within a specified period after the postponement is announced.
3. Notification of Changes
• Communication Channels: Any significant changes to the event will be communicated via the official event website, social media platforms, and email notifications to ticket holders.
• Responsibility to Stay Informed: It is the responsibility of the attendees to check for updates and announcements related to the event. The organizers will not be held liable for any costs or inconvenience resulting from changes that have been duly announced through the appropriate channels.
4. No Liability for Changes
• Unforeseen Circumstances: The organizers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from event changes or cancellations due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to acts of nature, government restrictions, or public health concerns.
• Limited Liability: The organizers' liability in any event changes is limited to the cost of the ticket purchased. No other expenses or costs incurred by attendees, such as travel or accommodation, will be reimbursed.
