About this event

This is a 1.5 Hour Sound Bath Immersion for those in need of deep rest, a reset and self-nurture. The Sound Bath will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to connect with others for the 1 hour following the Sound Bath.

Join Michelle, for an unforgettable sound meditation experience where you’ll enjoy well-deserved time to be still, take a breath and freely float on the waves of voice and various sound and vibrations.

This in-person feature event will transport you to a place of inner peace and serenity.

Melt into the yoga mat as you allow yourself to BE in the moment – your time, your space. Immerse yourself in the transformative power of healing vibrations that resonate deeply within.

As you become aware of the various played sounds, feel supported to let go of any tension and stress during the sound journey. Consider it a reset and refresher to soothe your heart and recharge the batteries as you drift into the weekend.*

ABOUT INTEGRAL SOUND HEALING:

Integral sound healing integrates modern science, ancient wisdom, music and the healing arts. It’s a form of vibrational medicine that may assist to balance all aspects of your being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Consider it a moment of fine tuning and assisting you to restore balance and activate your body’s natural healing abilities.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those who:

  • want to be still, rest and reset;
  • would like to reduce stress and anxiety;
  • want to relax the body and mind;
  • would like to increase mental and emotional clarity;
  • value self-care and want a moment of peace from their daily life;
  • have attended sound baths previously;
  • are curious;
  • would like to connect with others.

No experience needed. **

Persons 16 years and older.

It's important to note that you'll need to be reasonably still for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Though you’re not ‘stuck’ to your yoga mat and may move, wandering around would be considered distracting to other participants and disruptive to the process.


** NOTE: We gently remind you that a sound bath meditation is not recommended for: women who are 12 weeks pregnant (and under); anyone who has/had suffered major depression and/or has sound induced epilepsy. YOUR SOUND HEALING PRACTITIONER IS MICHELLE RYAN

Michelle’s a wife, mother, Sound Healer, a Mindfulness course facilitator & Laughter Yoga Leader.

She believes that when we return to ourselves we find our inner peace and clarity. When living in a mindful way, we tend to positively influence ourselves and the World around us.

Having experienced chronic stress and anxiety in her career in business, she’s stumbled upon the modalities of sound healing, meditation and laughter to find her inner calm.

Michelle holds a Diploma in Integral Sound Healing and is a qualified Laughter Yoga facilitator. She teaches the popular course: “An Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation” for Mindfulness Works Australia. Michelle also holds a Degree in Business and a Diploma in Finance.

Michelle’s passionate about teaching you how to find comfort and calm with soothing sounds as a means to ease the stressors of life. It’s in these spaces, that she connects with others to find their version of tranquillity.

Be Soothed is a wellness business run by Michelle, that offers the modalities of Sound Healing, Laughter Yoga and Mindfulness/Meditation courses. Michelle works with individuals, groups and in corporate spaces.

Michelle’s mission is to contribute to the reduction of stress in our World.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT TO BRING?

Please bring yoga mat, light blanket, pillow for under your head and knees. Consider bringing an eye mask and water to sip. If you'd feel more comfortable sitting, a 'legs out' camp is suitable. You may like to bring a note book to write anything that comes to your mind / heart after session.

WHERE IS BEACHES?

BEACHES RESTURANT ROSSLYN BAY - 34-48 Vin E Jones Drive, Rosslyn, QLD, Australia, Queensland. The Event will be held in the conference room which is part of Beaches Restaurant. Walk via the Restaurant outdoor thoroughfare, past the pool, towards the Conference room. A Be Soothed sign will be there.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

While we love children, to ensure a calm, restorative, and uninterrupted Sound Session, participants must be 16 years or older.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the session to register and settle into the space.

HOW LONG WILL I BE LYING DOWN?

You will be still for 1.5 hours. Most people like to lay down during a sound bath however, you may like to bring a portable / comfortable chair if you'd prefer to sit.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

There's no special attire needed. Loose and comfortable clothing will be most suitable.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Who should NOT attend a Sound Bath

A sound bath meditation is not recommended for women who are 12 weeks pregnant (and under). A sound bath meditation is not recommended to be given to any person who has/had suffered from major depression or psychosis and/or anyone with sound induced epilepsy.

IS LUNCH PROVIDED?

Lunch is not included in the ticket price; however, light refreshments and a hot drink will be provided after the sound bath. We encourage you to stay, relax, and enjoy some connection time. If you'd like to have lunch at Beaches Restaurant, feel free to do so following the event at your expense.
