Artist quality acrylic paints
Bring whatever paints that you have. If you are buying from scratch, a good beginner palette of colours would include: Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow light or lemon yellow, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Red Medium or Pyrrole red, Quinacridone Magenta, Orange, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber.
Brushes - 3 or 4 paint brushes – Flat or Filbert in a range of sizes (size 6 and larger)
Masking tape
Scissors
30cm ruler
Spray bottle
Rags or paper towel
2 containers/jars for water
A4 Acrylic Paint Pad (minimum 300gsm, 12 sheets)
A good choice is Artist Acrylic Pad (click link) from Officeworks.
One small, stretched canvas (approx. 40cm x 30cm in size) for the last class
There will be a demonstration on how to make a ‘wet palette’. If you would like to make
one, please bring along the following items.
One packet of ‘sponge cloth 3 pack’

Shallow Plastic container with lid approx. 30 cm x 30cm x 4.4cm deep e.g. Décor pastry storage container (click link). If youhave trouble finding one, a smaller size can be substituted

This program is funded by the Department of Human Services and it is a requirement of that funding that we collect certain information about program participants. This information is used to determine the success of the program and to inform the development of future activities.
