About this event
Join Adelaide based artist Shirley Wu for this beginner-friendly class. You will be introduced to the magic of transforming silver-clay paper into a stunning pendant or pair of earrings.
You'll learn how to handle and shape your silver-clay paper using traditional origami techniques and with other fun innovative methods. After the 2.5-hour making class, your pieces will be fired and ready for collection(takes about 2 hours).
You'll walk away with a unique, personal pendant or pair of earrings that’s ready to wear or gift to someone special.
This is NOT an origami lesson – prior knowledge of simple origami folds is helpful but not required.
What you'll get
- Introduction to silver clay and origami jewellery techniques
- How to fold and shape silver-clay paper (different from traditional origami paper)
- How to attach silver findings to your pendant or earrings
- Firing process & post-firing care for your silver jewellery

If you have specific origami you want to make, feel free to send it to me before the session.
