Assessment and feedback are key to effective learning. In these sessions you will engage with evidence-based approaches and hear about how they are put into practice.
You can choose to attend one or both of the sessions. Register for the sessions and you will receive the recordings of both sessions.
Session 1: explore the differences between formative and summative assessment; engage with strategies to design effective formative assessment; and learn how to design rubrics which communicate expectations and form part of a feedback strategy.
Session 2: engage with the challenge of designing authentic assessment tasks which reduce the risk of breaches of academic integrity and explore the role that flexible assessment tasks can play in student engagement and success.
