About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is undertaking a review of the service target performance incentive scheme (STPIS) for transmission network service providers (TNSPs). The STPIS provides a financial incentive to TNSPs to maintain and improve service performance.

The transition to renewable energy sources is changing the way transmission networks operate and invest. In arriving at our proposed draft amendments, we have taken into account concerns raised by networks and other stakeholders that in its current form elements of the STPIS are no longer working as intended.

On 6 November 2024, the AER published a draft decision outlining our proposed amendments to the STPIS for TNSPs and an accompanying explanatory statement.

This online public forum is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback and ask questions about the proposed amendments to the transmission STPIS prior to submissions closing on 3 February 2025.
