AGS/ICE Civil Engineering Networking - Meet your future boss over a drink

What's life like as a Civil or Geotechnical Engineer? What opportunities are there for Civil Engineering graduates? Here's your chance to find out. The SA Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society and the Institution of Civil Engineers have arranged a networking evening where you will be able to talk to senior engineers from the leading consultancies over a drink and canapes. Come prepared with good questions, you may be talking to your future boss.

The evening involves two stages:

• A "speed-dating" segment where you talk to a wide range of engineers to learn about their companies and make an impression.

• A more traditional, informal "free range" segment where you can move around and follow up with engineers you'd like to chat with more.

Note that the ticket price is heavily subsidised, and so $5 is excellent value.

The engineer-student ratio is 1:5.

Event access and one free drink voucher (alcoholic or otherwise). Canapes are provided throughout the event.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There is no minimum age to enter, however if you are planning to consume alcohol, you may be required to present some form of proof-of-age such as a drivers liscence.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We will be scanning tickets as you enter, so be sure to have a printed ticket with QR code visible, or have a digital ticket on your phone.
