About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: This event is only for Australian Defence Force members and their families.

Children can experience an array of emotions when a parent is absent from home. The ADF Equip program supports children with strategies to deal with their emotions and build resilience by focusing on positive thoughts and actions. The workshop is interactive, fun learning and children get to hear from others living a similar lifestyle.

Shoalhaven ADF kids aged 5-8 years and their parents/carers are invited to join us for our ADF Equip well-being program, focusing on parental absence.

Please ensure your child/ren are dressed in comfortable clothes as there will be interactive activities on the day. Morning tea (popper and popcorn) will be provided. Please advise on registration if there are any dietary requirements, allergies or medical conditions.

The program is anticipated to run for approximately 2.5 hours. Parents are welcome to stay but are not required to do so. Parents are required to enter the venue and sign children in/out of the session and provide a contact number if leaving the venue and remain in the local vicinity.

Registration for this event is essential and closes on Thursday 4 July 2024, unless the event is fully booked earlier.
