Join us for our 9th year of Angas Finniss Waterbug Bioblitzes!
In this hands on event we'll get out and about in the field collecting and sorting macroinvertebrates (waterbug) samples and taking water quality measurements from sites across the Angas and Finniss catchments (Macclesfield, Strathalbyn, Meadows, Prospect Hill and Paris Creek).
This is a great chance to learn from scientists, ecologists, volunteers and landholders in the region who are dedicated to protecting our precious creeklines.
Time: 8:45am - 4:00pm. Stay for the full day, or part day.
Cost: Free with lunch provided, please advise of any dietary requirements when registering.
Location: Strathalbyn Natural Resource Centre, 6 Catherine Street, Strathalbyn. We will meet at the centre then head out into the field in teams.
This Waterbug Bioblitz event is delivered by Second Nature Conservancy, with support from Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu and the Department for Environment and Water’s Flows for the Future program.
