Description

2015 marks 50 years since the Australian National University School of Music’s beginnings – as an independent school developed in Manuka, through the vision of Ernest Llewellyn and support of Sir Richard Kingsland. Today the School of Music stands as an architecturally unique component of the Australian National University, with ties to some of the best instrumentalists and musicologists around the globe.

To celebrate our 50th year, the School of Music has programmed an exceptional calendar filled with open academic and social events, and plenty of music. While sharing the annals of our history through in-house exhibitions, lectures and masterclasses, the School will be showcasing our most exceptional alumni, international and national ensembles and soloists, and the current talent emerging from our institution.

The School of Music invites you to join us – both on campus and online – and share in the spoils of half a century with of educational excellence, and one very big year.

We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you.
