The Asia-Pacific Alliance for the Control of Influenza (APACI), in partnership with the Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA), the Malaysian Society for Infectious Diseases & Chemotherapy (MSIDC) and the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM), is holding a 1 day Influenza Workshop in Kuala Lumpur on 24 October 2016.

Registration is free and you are now invited to register.
We encourage early registration as numbers will be limited.

The meeting is ideal for Healthcare Professionals, Medical Students, Virologists, Epidemiologists, and Government & Public Health Officials.

The meeting objectives are to:
  • Assess official influenza control policies within the Asia-Pacific region, and consider policy approaches to improve influenza vaccine uptake.
  • Review surveillance in the region and measures used to determine burden of disease.
  • Provide updates on best practices for prevention and treatment of influenza.
  • Highlight new developments in Malaysia.

  • Surveillance systems and epidemiology of influenza in Malaysia
  • Clinical impact of influenza in Malaysia
  • Vaccination of pregnant women (to protect the mother and infant)
  • Paediatric influenza vaccination

  • Animal and zoonotic influenza
  • WHO pandemic preparedness plans
