Join us for light drinks and refreshments in the Waverley Library Galleries to celebrate the work of Kurt Koeppl.
Kurt Koeppl is an award-winning and celebrated watercolour artist whose work draws on his sense of place. With a soaring imagination and years of creative practice, Kurt produces captivating visuals as he travels vicariously through an imagined land, resulting in remarkably expressive, impressionistic, and abstract works.
Throughout this series, we see dramatic and vivid extremes. Striking geological images are juxtaposed by soothing surreal meditations. Fire and tempest are contrasted with tranquil waters and dappled morning light. In Kurt’s work, legendary figures and unusual characters reveal themselves.
