Art & Nature Journaling with Joanne Bingham
A Foundational Workshop – The First in a Series
Join Award Winning Artist Joanne Bingham for the first in a series of immersive Art & Nature Journaling workshops. This foundational session is designed to introduce you to the art of documenting the natural world through watercolour, pen, and coloured pencils.
Nature journaling is more than drawing; it's a way to observe, reflect, and connect with the world around you. This creative practice will enrich your experiences, deepen your sense of curiosity and gratitude, and help develop observation skills, memory, and reverence for nature. Whether you want to enhance your creativity or simply enjoy mindful time outdoors, this workshop will guide you through the process in a supportive and inspiring environment.
What You’ll Learn:
The fundamentals of nature journaling
Simple watercolour and pen techniques to bring your journal to life
How to cultivate curiosity, gratitude, and artistic confidence
Ways to structure your journal entries with observations and reflections
In the afternoon, we’ll take our journals outdoors for a plein air session at Petersons Creek, where you’ll put your new skills into practice, capturing the beauty of the landscape in real time.
