About this event

The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) Children's Art Centre and Regional Services are delighted to present Asia Pacific Triennial Kids on Tour for children and families in regional and remote Queensland.

This program has been developed to coincide with the 11th Asia Pacific Triennial and Asia Pacific Triennial Kids on display from 30 November 2024 to 27 April 2025. It features seven interactive projects produced by the Children's Art Centre in collaboration with multiple artists.

In 'Unity Within Multiplicity', artist Dana Awartani (Saudi Arabia/Palestine) has referenced Zellij tile designs - a style of mosiac made by arranging small pieces of coloured tile into geometric patterns. Children can create repeating patterns using colour pencils and specially designed geometric templates.

The Kids on Tour program provides this content free of charge to communities throughout Queensland. QAGOMA gratefully acknowledges the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation's generous support.

Suitable for children of all ages.

Bookings not required, this is a drop-in activity.
