Our adventure begins!
Depart from wherever you are in Australia, ensuring you ARRIVE in Hanoi on the 20th of Feb 2025. We'll meet you at the airport (meetup details sent to ticket holders).
Schedule is clear on our first day, so just arrive!
February 21st 2025 | Hanoi, Day 2
In the morning we're doing a half-day city tour of Ha Noi capital, by walking along the Ba Dinh square area.
The capital is the political head of Vietnam, so we'll be able to see some major establishments including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, National Assembly Hall, the Presidential Palace, and more.
Afterwards we're contrasting this by seeing the heart of Hanoi, with an excursion to the Quan Thanh Taoist Temple, The Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda and the iconic Confucian Temple of Literature.
We'll then take a walk to visit the Old Quarter. The afternoon is free for our own activity.
February 22nd 2025 | Hanoi to Hạ Long Bay, Day 3
Morning road transfer to Hạ Long Bay via shuttle bus. We're then embarking on a big boat for a cruise around the iconic bay.
Lunch and dinner included, plus the overnight stay onboard is covered too.
February 23rd 2025 | Hạ Long Bay to Hue, Day 4
Morning boat cruise continues around the Bay, with brunch for us on board. We are then escorted via Shuttle bus to Hanoi, for transfer at Hanoi railway station. Overnight train takes us to Hue.
February 24th 2025 | Hue, Day 5
We arrive in Hue, visiting the Hue Citadel and Royal Antique Museum.
After spending the morning sightseeing, lunch included for us at a local restaurant. Rest of the day is free for us.
February 25th 2025 | Hue to Hội An, Day 6
In the morning we take a boat trip on Hương River to Thien Mu Pagoda, an ancient religious site in Hue. In the afternoon we'll drive to Hội An Ancient town for a walking tour, to explore this World Heritage Site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the Fujian Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the vibrant riverside market.
February 26th 2025 | Hội An, Day 7
In Hội An, we'll be treated to breakfast in the morning, before being left to explore the ancient town. There are additional tours (optional) available here too upon request, at a discounted rate.
Other than that, the day is free for us.
February 27th 2025 | Hội An to Ho Chi Minh City [via Da Nang], Day 8
Travel from Hội An to Da Nang airport, for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Once in Ho Chi Minh City, we regroup at our new hotel. We are then free to explore the city.
February 28th 2025 | Ho Chi Minh City, Day 9
We'll spend the morning sightseeing, visiting many great photo stops. This includes the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, the Central Post Office, Chinatown with Binh Tay Market, and the Thien Hay Temple. We then have our final afternoon free.
March 1st 2025 | DEPART from Ho Chi Minh City, Day 10
We're treated to breakfast by the hotel, before checking out and say our goodbyes. Everyone departs on their own individual flights from Ho Chi Minh City, but hopefully it won't be our last time seeing each other!
