Frequently asked questions

What to expect from a Contact Improvisation Dance session, workshop or jam?

Contact Improvisation is an improvised Dance Form that involves close proximity, physical awareness, touch, support and sharing of weight. A willingness to interact with participants and the environment is essential to this practice. The facilitator will be safely guiding participants along.

What to wear?

Wear long cotton loose trousers (no belts) and long sleeves top. Something comfortable to move in. You can wear socks or dance bare foot. No jewellery. Extra layers to feel nice and warm if the day is cold.

Shell I bring snacks and water?

Please bring your water bottle and a snack to balance your energy levels. We will provide afternoon tea at the end of the workshop:)
