About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for an author talk with writer Alan Carter, who will discuss his latest novel, Prize Catch, in partnership with the Devonport Bookshop.

UK born Alan Carter immigrated to Australia in the 90’s and now lives in splendid semi-rural isolation south of Hobart. In Alan’s new novel, SAS veteran Sam Willard, starting a new career at a Tasmanian salmon farm, is drawn into controversy over old war crimes and anti-salmon farm activism. When he crosses paths with a grieving Roz Chen, who is investigating the hit-and-run death of her wife, they find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a murky salmon industry and government intent on protecting their own interests, no matter the cost.

Come along to this free event and hear Alan speak about his writing process and latest novel. Copies will be available for purchase from the Devonport Bookshop on the night - chat to Alan as he signs them for you.
