Join Nikki at Broadbeach Library to discuss her latest work, Wing, a propulsive literary thriller about what it means to be a woman today, as a part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence campaign.

Nikki Gemmell is a legend of Australian writing. Her novel The Bride Stripped Bare, originally published anonymously, was an international sensation that defined sexuality and womanhood for a generation. She has won a Walkley Award for her opinion writing at The Australian, has been described as ‘the female Jack Kerouac’, and has seen her work translated into 22 languages.

Wing is about what it means to be a woman today. It brings us full-circle from The Bride Stripped Bare, two decades on, and finds women still struggling to understand their relationships to each other – and their relationships with men.

Book your ticket today to be a part of this important and inspiring conversation between Nikki Gemmell and ABC journalist Nicole Dyer during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
