Ayurveda Workshop: Building Immunity & Resistance to Disease - Be Ready for Winter

Date: 24 May 2025

Location: Ngutungka Henley

Join us for an enriching and immersive Ayurveda workshop where ancient healing practices meet practical self-care techniques. Over the course of each session, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Ayurveda’s core principles and learn how to incorporate them into your everyday life. Discover the power of food, lifestyle, and mindfulness as we explore Ayurvedic teachings, prepare nourishing meals together, and share in the joy of eating with intention. You’ll receive detailed notes and recipes to guide you along the way.

This session will explore the following essential topics:

  • Herbs and Spices for Winter Healing: Discover the power of Ayurvedic herbs and spices to combat winter chills and support your immune system during the colder months.
  • Making Kitchen Medicines: Learn how to create simple yet effective Ayurvedic remedies right in your kitchen, including a daily tonic for liver health, natural treatments for flu, coughs, and colds, digestive aids, and supportive medicines for the female reproductive system.
  • Cooking Workshop: Engage in a hands-on session where you'll learn to make ghee and prepare Mediterranean-inspired Ayurvedic dishes that nourish and warm the body, promoting health and balance throughout winter.

This workshop will equip you with practical knowledge and remedies to embrace the winter season with strength, warmth, and wellness.

Please note:

  • Stay at home if you are unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath.

The City of Charles Sturt would like to acknowledge the land we occupy today is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the greater Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
