Come join us for a weekend of fishing fun at Theresa Creek Dam raising funds for Canteen - helping families effected by childhood cancer and BMA CQ Rescue - a life saving service to our communities. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, this event is perfect for everyone as every ticket purchased is an entry for the major lucky door prize. Get ready to reel in some big catches and compete for the title of the ultimate champion! This is a catch and release event for the fish categories.
Bring your friends and family along for a weekend of camping, live entertainment and excitement by the water. Don't forget to pack your fishing gear and your lucky stubby holder!

Prizes for the Longest species of each category and the Champion Junior and Champion Senior Angler.
Competitors tent will be open from 2pm Friday 3rd of October to collect competitors pack which includes a Barra Claw Classic Fishing Shirt, brag mat, competitor ID and more... The brag mat and competitors ID is needed to measure fish for photos to be taken of your catch to qualify for the competition.
All registration after the 30th of June 2025 will not receive a 2025 Barra Claw Classic fishing Shirt as a part of their competitors pack although fishing shirts will be available for purchase on the competition weekend subject to availability.
Fishing opens Friday 3rd October at 4pm until Sunday 5th October 12pm
Saturday afternoon will be the Barra Claw Classic fishing events for juniors and seniors these events will not only be for the competitors!
Sunday fishing closes 12pm from then on bar, raffles, live music, presentation and activities will commence.
