Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop
Are you a beginner when it comes to bike mechanics? Join us for a friendly, informative evening learning the essentials of bike maintenance!
This workshop is designed for total beginners, so no prior knowledge is necessary. The Adelaide Bike Kitchen have an experienced instructor to guide you through the theoretical aspects of basic bike maintenance, giving you the confidence to start looking after your own bike. While the course is mostly theoretical, even experienced home mechanics often discover new tips and tricks!
Who is this for?
This session is geared towards adults who are interested in understanding the basics of bike care, from simple repairs to preventative maintenance. Children over 13 years of age must be accompanied by an parent/caregiver.
What will you learn?
- An overview of essential bike parts
- How to perform a pre-ride safety check
- Fixing a flat tire and adjusting brakes
- Lubrication and cleaning tips to extend your bike’s lifespan
- General maintenance tips for a smoother ride
