Spend the day creating your own unique A4 sketchbook/journal from scratch using specialist bookbinding materials. Learn how to cover, fold, assemble and bind plus take home a set of instructions so that you can continue the craft at home.
In this workshop you will make a hardbacked A4 sketchbook featuring the decorative and robust Coptic Stitch Binding. This binding is perfect for a skechbook or journal as it opens flat allowing ease of use. We will spend some time marbling paper to use for the inside cover papers adding a unique personal touch. Choose from a selection of art and cartridge papers to suit your needs whether it be for painting, drawing or writing. We use professionsal bookbinding cloth for the cover which can be left plain or embellished at home or during the workshop if time allows.

All materials and tools are provided and demonstrations are given at every step. A choice of different coloured book cloths and threads are available so that you can create personal and unique books to your taste.
