Bushcare in Kingfisher Reserve grassland - June 2025

Use weed control techniques with Trees For Life to care for the Kingfisher Reserve grassland. Beginners and more experienced bushcarers welcome.

Sensitive weed control techniques including hand weeding and the use of manual implements will be used to remove and control perennial and annual weeds that are competing with native plants.

P lease bring:

• P lease wear long pants and long-sleeved shirt (at all times)
• S uitable clothing for the weather (hat, wet weather gear, warm clothes etc.)
• B oots or strong enclosed shoes (good grip)
• D rinking water, snacks
• S unscreen and insect repellent.

T rees For Life will supply:

• F irst aid and safety equipment
• H and washing facilities
• T ools and equipment

T rees For Life will be taking responsibility for the health of volunteers. Safety gear such as gloves and safety glasses will be provided and all volunteers will be required to wear them.
