FRIDAY BUSINESS NETWORKING


Can you afford not to turn up? The event is designed for SMB and SME business directors, partners, and CxOs to engage in business networking, growth, and success over a coffee and great breakfast. The event aims to create a structured, professional, fun, and friendly environment that guarantees new connections with ~40% of visitors transacting with new referrals to grow businesses.

Do you want to grow your Business and network, bring business cards and be ready to present a 20-second elevator pitch. The event features a rapidly growing group of like-minded business professionals who meet weekly to pass referrals across various industries. Special events include unique presentations and guest speakers to keep things interesting and social events are regularly open for building on growing trusted professional networks.

INCLUSION

Breakfast & Barista Coffee: With this completed and paid registration it includes a HOT breakfast. Everyone will receive the same breakfast, however to keep things interesting we rotate through six of the venues breakfast options. Those with dietry requirements you will receive the 'chef's selection' which could be a hot or cold breakfast, however the venue will meet your dietry requirements. You will be provided with a barista coffee as per your option mentioned during registration.
20 Seconds: You will receive 20 seconds of fame letting everyone know your name, business and goal for attending.
Open Networking: You will get to network with all of our members who are friendly and open to discussion.
Trade Sheet: You will receive the details of all of our members which in many cases includes their personal mobile numbers.


IMPORTANT REGISTRATION CUT OFF TIMES

We have a team of our members that prepare to welcome you on the morning, and event seating & catering deadlines with our venue. Registration cut off time is 12:00 PM on the Wednesday before this event to ensure you have the best experience possible. If you miss the cutoff please register for our next event.

EVENT OVERVIEW


BREAKFAST

During the event you will receive breakfast and coffee to kick start the day. If you are filling in on behalf of an official member who is unable to attend, as they have paid in advance, you do not need to register here, and you will receive their breakfast at no cost. Dietary requirements are required at the time of this booking as no changes can be made on the morning of the event with the venue - those with dietry requirements will receive the "chef's selection" which may be a hot or cold breakfast option however the venue will meet your dierty requirements.


WELCOME & PRE-NETWORKING

You'll be greeted, provided info on all our members (Trade Sheet), and your name tag. Someone from our group will introduce you to people we think you'll benefit from meeting, either services you need or people that will assist you to expend your network or business.


MEETING

We then sit for breakfast as our President (Paul Kingston) drives the meeting, where you'll be introduced to the group. You’ll will be allocated 20 seconds to introduce yourself including who invited you, your name, business, what you do and what you would like to get our of the event eg. “Thanks Fred for inviting me along today, I'm Bob Smith from Smith Electrical, focused in Domestic and Commercial Electrical work. I’m looking to connect with or I’m looking to know more about professional networking to help grow my business”

Our Vice President (Jake Taylor) will introduce our Membership committee and other important information throughout the morning.

Members introduce themselves by giving a 60 second intro to let you know who they are before we pass business cards around the room for anyone you wish to connect with after the meeting.


FEATURE PRESENTATION

Each week a different member of our group will do a 10-minute presentation on their business or instead we have a scheduled group Q&A Panel Presentation showing how multiple business work together and what areas of business they seek outside our group, which opens opportunity for others to join our group.

On occasion we run meetings with VVIP speakers which replace this section and sometimes other parts of the meeting. We will occasionally run entertaining skits around how businesses in the room (and possibly visitors) can help to resolve personal and business challenges.


POST-NETWORKING

After breakfast, you will be provided with information about our Business Networking Group and how you could become a member. There is never pressure to join or to do business with anyone in the group. We believe in growing everyone’s network with good and reliable businesses. Everyone enjoys catching up, having a laugh, exchanging stories and finding ways to help others succeed. The opportunities of business naturally flow between our members and guests because of the relationships we form.

Frequently asked questions

Can you bring children to this event?

NO. All participants must be over the age of 18. If your child is working with you in the business, they can attend with a member as a visitor or with a visitor as another visitor. We encourage young people visiting our group.

Can I attend if I haven't been invited by a Member?

YES. You are welcome to come, and many visitors are not invited by members. Someone from our Visitor Team or Leadership Team may contact you and invite you as their Visitor to help you feel welcomed on the day and have a direct point of contact.

How can I get the most out of my Visit?

Participate and talk to as many members as possible. Visit again in person (if you have come to our Virtual meeting) and continue to network with our members. Ensure you have a good 10 second elevator pitch and be present in the meeting.

How many times can I visit?

Officially you can Visit as a Visitor twice. We occasionally bend the rules to one Virtual Visit and two in person Visits if you are serious about joining as a member. If it's not right for you now, we allow two visits in a 12 month period.

Can I join as a member without Visiting?

Technically Yes, however the Membership Committee will want to see those interested in Joining 2-3 times to know if you will good for our business family and we will be good for you. We are looking for fun, committed, positive, engaged and decision makers in a business that will be a good addition.
