About this event

WEDNESDAY BUSINESS NETWORKING

There is only one question for SMB and SME business directors, partners, CxO's and that is can you effort not to turn up?

Wednesday is called hump day for a reason, you're in the middle of the week and smack bang between two weekends .. Rather than feeling in limbo, we spice things up by driving business between business directors, decision makers and leaders over a great networking breakfast. Starting the day with engaging and empowering conversations to drive new opportunities will change your feeling of Wednesdays forever...

Do you want to grow your Business and network in a structured, professional and fun and friendly environment that is guaranteed to deliver referrals that grow your business?

Come along to find out more...

When and Where

Time: 7am start, finishing at 8.30am

Where: Henry & The Fox, 525 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000

Event Cost:

What to Bring: A stack of business cards (~30) to hand out to people you connect with on the day. Be ready to tell us about you with a ~15 second infomercial (elevator pitch) based on who you are, what you do and what you would like to get out of the morning.

We have a rapidly growing group of likeminded business professionals in decision making roles that meet every week. The SBM and SME businesses in our community mainly do business with their SME and corporate network.

This is a breakfast and networking opportunity for the members and visitors of our group who meet weekly and pass referrals across many industries to assist in the growth of all.

Once every quarter we hold a unique "Stack Day" which is presented in the format of a play between business and how they work together or connect and the missing opportunities for business that our members could refer business to. We occasionally have guest speakers from charities and business leadership and keep things interesting for our community and visitors.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION CUT OFF TIMES

We have a team of people that need to prepare to welcome visitors to the morning including informing the venue of numbers and breakfast options. The cut off times is 11:59PM the Monday in the week of the event.

Business should be FUN as you grow, just imagine turning up to a group of likeminded people who want your business to succeed and know how to laugh along the way. People are attracted to positivity and laughter which can generate great business relationships and new customers.

GUEST SPEAKER we have a panel based Q&A with one of Melbourne's most successful leaders in BNI. It is a rare opportunity to be able to hear from such an inspirational leader in our community. You don't want to miss out!

OVERVIEW

BREAKFAST

When you arrive, there will be a list of à la carte breakfast options and your choice of coffee or chai latte. If you are filling in on behalf of a member who was unable to attend, as they have paid in advance, use their name when ordering breakfast as a thank you from them.

WELCOME

You'll be greeted, provided info on all our members, and your name tag (we all have them). Either someone from our group or I will introduce you to people we think you'll benefit from meeting as the coffee comes out.

MEETING

We then sit for breakfast as Paul Kingston, our President gives an intro, where you'll be welcomed to the group. You’ll have around 20 seconds to introduce yourself with name, business and what you do. eg.

“Thanks for inviting me along today, I'm Bob Smith from Smith Electrical, focused in Domestic and Commercial Electrical work. I’m looking to connect with ”

Our Vice President Tim Ash will introduce our Membership committee and other important information throughout the morning.

Members will introduce themselves with each member giving a ~60 seconds intro to let you know who they are before we pass business cards around the room for anyone you wish to connect with after the meeting.

FEATURE

PRESENTATION

Each week a different member of our group will do a 10-minute presentation on their business or instead we have a scheduled group Q&A Panel Presentation showing how multiple business work together and what areas of business they seek outside our group, which opens opportunity for others to join our group.

On occasion we run meetings with VVIP speakers which replace this section and sometimes other parts of the meeting. We also run "Stack Day's" where members will run a entertaining skit around how businesses in the room (and possibly include visitors) can help to resolve business challenges.

NETWORKING

After breakfast, you will be provided some further information about our BNI group. There is never pressure to join or to do business with anyone, it's more about growing everyone’s network for good and reliable businesses. From my personal experience, everyone enjoys catching up, having a laugh, exchanging stories. The opportunities of business naturally flow between our members and guests because of the relationships we form.

Q&A

You don't know what you don't know, and the most powerful shift can be when you know what you don't know. Similar when one person you didn't know can change your business.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me before, on or after the day. I hope you enjoy your time with us.
