    Position yourself for success in the rapidly growing area of IT Networking with the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking Technician program delivered by Monash College Future Skills. Complete the course in 40 hours depending on your level of experience. This program provides learners with a broad foundational understanding and is ideal for anyone interested in or beginning their career in IT.

    Prepare yourself for the entry-level Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Network certification and entry-level roles such as Network Support Technician, Entry-level Help Desk Technician, or IT Support Specialist. You will learn how networks operate, including the devices, media, and protocols that enable network communication. Develop key skills so you can perform basic troubleshooting, using effective methodologies and help desk best practices.

    When are the classes?

    Classes are delivered in a blended online format, with instructor-supported, weekly 2-hour sessions from 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm via zoom.

    Are there any pre-requisites or do I need any prior skills?

    There are no prerequisites required for the course, this course is designed as a fundamental introduction to networking. An understanding of digital literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite is recommended.

    Do the assessments have a due date?

    Yes. There are several checkpoint exams and a final multi choice exam for each subject.

    What technology is required for my course?

    It is highly recommended that for the course you have your own personal computer with a minimum i5 processor and 8gb ram.

    What software will be used during my course?

    Software used in this class will be provided, and instruction on how to access and download required software will be outlined during orientation.

    What other tools or software will be used in my course?

    A range of videos, podcasts and online readings are used throughout your course. We aim to deliver all of our courses incorporating cutting edge technologies. If you have not used one of these formats and need assistance, please reach out to your trainer.
