What can I bring to CelticFest?

Accepted Answer

Camping chair & rug, though there is seating in indoor venues & in the Grandstand. The Showgrounds has sloped and uneven areas - wear sensible footwear. Bring sunscreen and a hat in case of warm weather, a poncho, raincoat or a rain umbrella in case of rain. Bring layers to keep warm in the evening.

What can’t I bring to CelticFest?

Accepted Answer

The following are prohibited: tables, tents, sun shelters; beach/sun umbrellas; alcohol; glass; Eskys, illicit substances; weapons of any sort incl. Tasers, mace spray; animals (except dogs - see below); beanbags/blow-up chairs/lounges; lasers, flashlights; fireworks, flares, drones, projectiles.

Question 3

What type of chair can I bring?

Accepted Answer

You are permitted to bring a standard camping/deck chair and rug.  Beware of the uneven surfaces.
No reclining chairs, beanbags, blow-up air chairs or lounges.
In general, please be considerate of other patrons when positioning yourselves so as to not block the view of the events for others.

What ticket types are available?

Accepted Answer

Adult Earlybird tickets from $15 for a limited time. Adult Online tickets from $20, & Adult tickets at the gate from $25. Tickets for school-aged children (5-17)  $5 per day. Pensioner ticket pricing will be held at Earlybird pricing. Children under 5 & Companion Card holder carers are free.

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

CelticFest will go ahead unless conditions are deemed to be dangerous. If the CelticFest committee cancels CelticFest patrons will receive a refund. The decision to cancel CelticFest will be made as early as possible but may not be made until the day.

Question 6

Where can I find a Program?

Accepted Answer

Programs will be available free of charge on event day from our Information Stand located directly opposite the pedestrian entrance at Gate1. A program with greater detail will also be available from our website. This will be a downloadable document for you to keep on your device.

Question 7

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Accepted Answer

No, alcohol is available to purchase from the Bar. Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols are enforced.  Consideration of your fellow patrons is expected at all times. Aggression, intoxication, or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the venue.

Can I bring my own food?

CelticFest offers a broad selection of food vendors with delicious Celtic options but you can bring your own food.  Every attempt is made to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for by the contracted food vendors, but if you have a specific dietary requirement it is advised to bring your own.

Can I bring a stroller or a pram?

You are permitted to bring prams and strollers for your children into CelticFest.  They may be subject to security checks. Please note: there are uneven and grassy surfaces, and stairs at the venue so please take care, and remember to be considerate of other patrons at all times.

Bus Parking?

Bus and coach parking is available onsite by prior arrangement only.

Disabled Parking?

A disabled car parking option for those with a valid disabled parking sticker is available through Gate 4 on Kingsford Street. There will be limited disabled car parking so we suggest arriving early. Please follow directions to the disabled parking area.

Question 12

Is First Aid available?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  There will be a signed first aid service near the Information Tent (see program for map). Please ask Volunteers, Event staff or First Aid officers for help. If someone requires medical attention please let a Volunteer, Event staff or First Aid officer know so they can help as soon as possible.

Are Pass-outs available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we will provide you with a wrist band if you need to exit the venue.

Can I smoke?

Accepted Answer

No, CelticFest will be a non-smoking event.

Where is the Information Stand?

Accepted Answer

The Information Stand will be located directly across from the pedestrian entrance at Gate 1.

Question 16

Where is Lost Property?

Accepted Answer

If you lose something, please go to the Information Stand to check if it’s been handed in by a fellow patron.
If you find something that belongs to someone else, please be a good citizen and hand it in to Lost Property at the Information Stand.

Question 17

Will the program schedule or artists be likely to change?

Accepted Answer

Occasionally changes occur that are out of our control. Scheduled performance times and artist line-ups are subject to change. No refund will be offered in these circumstances.

Question 18

Are EFTPOS facilities and an ATM available at the showgrounds?

Accepted Answer

An onsite ATM will be available within the grounds to make cash withdrawals. Some vendors will offer Card, but it is still recommended to bring enough cash for the day.  Our front gate will accept EFTPOS for ticket purchases.

Question 19

Are there facilities for disabled people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Disabled toilets, parking and viewing areas are available. A dedicated disabled parking area is also available. If you require additional assistance, or would like to provide feedback on our disabled servicing, please see the information tent at the front entrance.

Question 20

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Socialised pet dogs and service dogs are welcome at the festival but must be kept on a lead at all times. It's your responsibility as pet owner to clean up after your furry friend.

Question 21

Besides driving, are there other transport options available?

Accepted Answer

Two  free shuttle bus services will run on Saturday and Sunday: one between the Warwick CBD and the Showgrounds, and the other on a loop between Australiana Park and the Showgrounds. See our website for details on bus stops and schedule.

Question 22

Can I use any of the images/content from CelticFest for my own purposes?

Accepted Answer

You must not use any CelticFest trademarks, images, names, or logos without prior written permission from CelticFest. Any other trademarks, product names, company names, logos or images within the event are the property of their respective owners, and may not be used without their permission.

Are tickets available at the gate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we will have cash and card-purchasing facilities at the pedestrian Entrance Gate 1. We do however recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of CelticFest, to take advantage of lower pricing and to enable speedier access on the day. Ticket prices will be higher at the gate.

Can a lost ticket be replaced?

Accepted Answer

If you lose your ticket, review the email sent to you by Eventbrite when you purchased it. If you forget it on the day, you will need to show your photo ID so they can search the ticketing database. This is only possible if the ticket is in your name or you are with the person who bought it.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

If CelticFest is cancelled (without a rescheduled event) or there are legal requirements that provide otherwise (including those of  Australian Consumer Law), tickets will be refunded. Refunds won't be provided if you change your mind. If cancelled, ticket transfer details will be posted on website.

Who do I contact if I have an inquiry about my ticket purchase?

CelticFest does not directly sell tickets.  Please direct inquiries to Eventbrite.

Question 27

I purchased tickets online but my email never arrived, what do I do?

Accepted Answer

If you have not received an email you may have incorrectly typed your email address. Please contact Eventbrite customer support. You may be required to provide proof of purchase with credit card or PayPal details.

What will the weather be like?

Accepted Answer

Weather-wise, September is the best month to visit Warwick. Temperatures are typically maximum  24.3°C, minimum 10.3°C, and for October, 26.2°C/13.1°C. We recommend dressing for warmer temperatures during the day, and bringing a hat and sunscreen. In the evening you may need more layers!

When you attend CelticFest, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering CelticFest and CelticFringe venues, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction, without compensation.

Question 30

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

There will be very limited street parking outside the Warwick Showgrounds on Kingsford Street. The pedestrian entrance is at Gate 1. We encourage CelticFest patrons to park either in the Warwick CBD or at Australiana Park, and use the regular free shuttle buses to the Showgrounds.
