❄️ CENTRAL COAST SKATEPARK SERIES – WINTER FRENZY ❄️

Bundle up and drop inWinter Frenzy (STREET) is coming in hot (well… cold) to Bateau Bay ‘Bato Yard’ Skatepark this July 5th! It’s the chilliest comp of the season and the next epic stop in the Central Coast Skatepark Series.

This FREE grassroots skateboard and scooter STREET competition is open to all levels — from fresh snowflakes to seasoned shredders. Whether you’re landing your first ollie or chasing podium glory, this frosty throwdown is for you.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ

Due to time constraints, each age group has a maximum of 15 competitors. Competitors can only enter a MAX of ONE age group outside of the OPENS SESSIONS. There are NO limitations on entering either OPEN SESSIONS.

WAIVER FORM – All participants must complete our online waiver form before they can participate. The waiver form is part of the Terms and Conditions that you agree to when selecting your ticket.

THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.

Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via Eventbrite.

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation are subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before an event. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.

Safety Gear: Helmets are mandatory for all participants under 18 years and will be supplied on the day. It will be recommended for anyone over the age of 18 to wear a helmet, but if the competitor chooses not to, they will be required to sign an additional waiver.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Winter Frenzy a competition?

Yes, the Winter Frenzy is a skateboard and scooter competition. Each competitor will get 2x 45 second runs to show off their skills and impress the judges.

Can I enter two age groups?

No, you cannot enter two age groups e.g. if you are 12 you cannot enter both u13s and u16s, but you can enter the opens division e.g. if you are 12 you can enter u12s and opens.

When are winners announced?

Winners for each category will be announced once all age group have competed e.g. Skateboard winners will be announced once the U10, U12, U16, Open skateboard categories have been completed.

Can a competitor compete in an older age group?

Yes, competitors can compete in an older age group, but cannot compete in a younger age group.

Can people from outside the Central Coast compete?

Yes, people who live outside the Central Coast can compete in this competition.

Will there be free skateboard and scooter lessons on the day?

No, there will NOT be skateboard or scooter lessons being offered on the day. The event is focusing on those who want to put their skills to the test and compete.

How will competitors be scored?

Judges will score each competitor out of 100 on the overall impression of a run. Judging will reflect World Skate criteria standards: Difficulty and variety of perfumed tricks, Flow or consistency in the performance, Quality of execution, Use of course/obstacles in a performance, Repetition.
