The annual SOCS ChemBall is back for another year, and we're so excited to host you!

👻 We're feeling spooky this year – did you notice the date? It's Friday the 13th and guess who's playing Jason!

We invite you to dress up to your heart's content, and join us in the Enchanted Forest. Come in shades of green, as a vengeful ghost, a proud elf, or a sparkling fairy—the adventure is yours! By vote of the executive, we will award the best dressed individual AND table with a prize. ✨ 🧚🏻

This year, ChemBall will be hosted at L'Aqua Terrace (rooftop level) in Darling Harbour, with a backdrop of Vivid on the foreshore.

The ball includes a three-course banquet meal with two options for each dish, bottomless drinks (non-alcoholic options available), a DJ, and a photo booth.

Pricing

For Arc members, the standard ticket price is $110.

For non-Arc members, the standard ticket price is $120.

We are running a (limited) early-bird sale of $5 off, and this applies to any ticket type. There are only 30 of these tickets, expiring on the 18th of April, so get in quick.

Additionally, there is a table discount of $5 pp for groups of 10–12. Please email unsw.socs@unsw.edu.au with the list of names, and we will provide a code. Only one member of the table needs to email this. Guests are expected to be proactive about the purchase of these tickets. If there are changes, let us know ASAP.

BOTH discounts can be applied if you're quick enough!

Important Information

Event time is 7pm 'till midnight. Please respect the requests of staff to exit when the time comes.

The beverage package is available until 11:30 pm.

As always, bring along anyone you wish!

Please bring a valid form of ID, as this may be requested by venue staff at any point in the night.

There is zero tolerance for any form of antisocial, discriminatory, or generally unacceptable behaviour. This event is inclusive to those from all backgrounds and walks of life. Any violation of these conditions will be taken seriously, and guests may be asked to leave, either by venue staff or a member of the SOCS executive. Every guest has a responsibility to uphold the standards of ChemBall and the safety of the people around them.

Please be aware that RSA rules apply. Despite the availability of alcohol, guests are expected consume alcohol responsibly and maintain appropriate conduct while on the premises. The venue reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol and subsequently ask guests to leave.
