About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for our last Thursday matinee screening of a black and white classic.

This classic film noir by John Huston stars Humphrey Bogart as World War II veteran Frank McCloud. Visiting Key Largo to pay his respects to the family of his late war buddy, McCloud attempts to comfort his widow, Nora (Lauren Bacall), and father, Jamesw Temple (Lionel Barrymore), who operate a hotel. But McCloud realizes that mobsters, led by the infamous Johnny Rocco (Edward G. Robinson), are staying in the hotel. When the criminals take over the establishment, conflict is inevitable.

This film has a perfectly tense atmosphere with the sparks flying betwenn Bogart and Bacall.

Enjoy the film, light refreshments, and a chat afterwards. Due to licensing restrictions, we cannot advertise the movie name. Ask our friendly library staff for more information.

Free event. Eventbrite bookings essential.
