Step into a world of creativity and comfort at our Coffee, Cake & Clay Open Studio Session — where you’re free to create on your own terms in a space designed for artistic exploration. This isn’t a class in the traditional sense; instead, it’s an opportunity to Clay Your Way, exploring your ideas and expanding on skills you’ve developed in previous hand-built ceramics experiences.
Here’s What Awaits You:
🌟 Creative Freedom – Our workshop provides a relaxed, open environment where you’re free to create something truly unique. You’ll have 300 grams of your choice between Earthenware and Stoneware clay, full access to our ceramic tools, and an inviting studio space to bring your visions to life. No rigid structure or step-by-step instructions—this is all about your creative journey! (Want more clay??? You will be able to purchase additional clay in the studio).
☕️🍰 Cake from Basil's Fine Foods – Sip on freshly brewed pod coffee or tea and indulge in a gourmet cake while you work. These treats are here to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed, creating an atmosphere where ideas can flow as freely as the clay in your hands.
🖌️ Artist Assistance on Hand – Need a bit of guidance or some tips along the way? Our artist is available if you’d like some input or advice. Otherwise, you’re welcome to dive into your creative process at your own pace.
🔥 Glazing & Firing Included – As part of your experience, glazing and firing are included for one piece! If you’re feeling extra inspired and make multiple pieces, you can have additional items glazed and fired for a small fee.
This workshop is ideal for those who’ve had some prior experience with hand-building ceramics and want to explore new techniques or expand on existing ones in a welcoming, creative space. Whether you’re refining a favourite style or testing out something completely new, this is the perfect setting to do it in your own way.
