Community Clay Sessions

Come join us at Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat for our Community Clay Sessions! Get your hands dirty and unleash your creativity in a fun and relaxed environment. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come and play with clay.

Bookings essential. Limited spaces.

Date Night with Colin - most Mondays 5-7pm

Mud Mornings - most Tuesdays 10am-12

These sessions are untutored, so you are free to do your own thing and work at your own pace, or follow along with others. We have plenty of ideas to share.

It's a great way to meet new people, unwind, and create something beautiful with your own two hands. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get in touch with your artistic side!

The fee includes access to tools and some basic clays and glazes. Additional materials will be made available at your own cost.

Our kiln, lovingly known as 'Colin', will be available to participants at a discounted rate for bisque firing or glaze firing.

This is a new offering at Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat and we aim to evolve the project overtime with your input.

BYO drinks and nibbles. We look forward to getting dirty with you.

Hi, I'm Jasmine, co-owner of Studio Surf art gallery in Marion Bay, Yorke Peninsula.

Silversmith, art teacher, conservationist, traveller and mother of two. I love to make jewellery, art and create things with my hands.

As an artisan jeweller I predominantly work with sterling silver and sea glass to create unique, ethical and sustainable jewellery. All my silver is recycled and the repurposing of beach glass promotes marine conservation, which I am passionate about. I use a wide range of methods, and am constantly learning new techniques.

As a regional art facilitator and teacher, I love to share my skills and passion for art. I host after-school, holiday and regular art programs for children, adults, community and NDIS participants with the aim of bringing a variety of quality arts experiences to our regional participants. I work across all mediums and develop programs to suit a variety of people. My long term programs are developed in conjunction with participants to ensure maximum engagement and benefit. From pottery, printmaking, painting and drawing to performing arts, costume design and textiles, the only limit is our combined imaginations.

Sharing my skills with others is something I love even more than creating on my own. It is truly something special to be able to help inspire and assist others to expand their imagination and create something fabulous.
