Compost and Worm Farms- Community Environment Centre volunteers Chris and Claude

Thursday 8 May 10am-12pm

Celebrate Compost Awareness week and explore, learn, and discover with Community Environment Centre Volunteers Chris and Claude on how to set up and look after a compost bin or worm farm in your backyard! Recycling food waste is a great way of ensuring that your food scraps don't end up in landfill. Compost and worm castings are an excellent addition to the soil in your garden and can help your plants to grow and flourish! Investigate the different composting options available by taking a tour around our community compost bins and vegetable garden and see our giant worm farm. Learn further about how to fix compost systems that aren’t working or learn how to prevent problems in setting up a sustainable green compost and worm farm. This workshop is supported by The Hills Shire Council Resource Recovery Team.
