About this event

Connect & Thrive Catch-up Dinner at West End.

A monthly casual dinner catch-up for connection, self-care & wellness.

With isolation and loneliness becoming more common in society, here is an offering of genuine connection with like-minded individuals to support each others’ well-being. If you work in the wellness industry and/or are simply needing extra connection/support this is the event for you! All genders are welcome! This is a space to meet new and familiar people, chat openly, share ideas around self-care and wellness and possibly gain some insight or encouragement with inspiration cards.

As our lives become more chaotic and stressful, one thing that can reduce its impact is having an anchor of routine. This dinner catch-up occurs at 6.30pm on the first Wednesday night of each month (a great way to start each month!) and can serve as an anchor for you. Since variety is the spice of life, we are alternating the restaurants we meet at each month, between Paddington, New Farm and West End. Each place has delicious food and offers vegan and gluten-free options for any dietary requirements. I’m open to suggestions of other meeting places, please let me know if you have any recommendations.

Since it's coming up to Christmas - the season of giving, we are dining somewhere very special that gives back to the community! Mu'ooz at West End is an African not-for-profit social enterprise and restaurant. Their aim is to give work experience, training and employment opportunities to African refugees, helping break down the cross-cultural barriers. For women who have suffered traumatic experiences of war, poverty and had little opportunity for education, Mu'ooz gives both employment and new opportunities that help the healing process. So please join us at 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 4th at Mu'ooz at West End and know that you are making a valuable contribution to African refugees.

My intention is to make this affordable and accessible for everyone. Therefore there is a small charge of $5 (plus booking fee) to book yourself a seat at the table and goes towards my time for organising these events. If you are struggling financially and need a free ticket, please message me for the discount code (ph: 0414392649). However, you will need to pay for any food and drinks you order on the night. I have ensured that bills can be split and there is no minimum we need to spend. If you are feeling generous, I will gladly accept extra donations towards my time for organising these events, but there's no pressure or obligation. If you decide to make an extra donation you can do so either online (at the Eventbrite checkout after buying your Seat ticket) or by cash in person on the night.

Would love to see you there! Partners, family and friends are welcome!

**PLEASE BOOK through Eventbrite so I can manage numbers and table bookings. If you do book and can't make it please contact Tania on 0414392649.

Organised by

Founded by Tania Emiliani, Expressive Freedom offers Expressive Arts Therapy to children and adults of all ages and abilities in Brisbane and Brisbane North. Expressive Arts Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that supports people to explore and improve their mental, emotional and physical health with the use of creative processes for expression. There is no need for artistic ability as the focus is purely on your expression and the meaning that you create. By tapping into the creative side of your brain and your unconscious, you can see and experience things in a new way; are able to find meaning and insight into challenges and create transformation (or changes) in your life. Expressive Freedom offers one-on-one sessions and group workshops for children and adults.
