About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

    Let's get your tweens cooking this school holiday! Sign up for our cooking classes with Little Treasures Education, for your kids to develop their budding cooking and kitchen skills. This class is designed for ages 8 to13 and will require some basic cooking skills like mixing, measuring, and following basic recipe steps. Class will consist of ~1.5 hour cooking time mixed with food/plant education.

    Parents, your supervision is optional, but you're welcome to stay and enjoy the facilities. If dropping children off please ensure you arrive on time at 12pm to collect your child.

    Please note, due to the nature of this class, we cannot accomodate non-participating children.

    What to expect:

    Length

    ~1.5 hour of cooking with food and garden education and time to eat.

    This event has a strict start time and late comers may not be admitted.

    Comfortable clothes that can get messy

    Type of event and expectations

    Primary/highschool workshop space- Guests are expected to follow instructions of the program facilitator and be respectful at all times. Participants must be capable of following safety instructions. Parents must be available to collect their children upon request.

    Standing, motor skills and listening to instructions.

    Directions to Centre

    Please consider using public transportation. A bus stop, just a 2-minute walk away, is conveniently located near the Centre and services multiple routes.

    The Centre is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.
