About the books:

The Torrent (Book ONE in the Detective Kate Miles series)

A loving husband lost to devastating summer floods. A teenage girl injured during a robbery. Two seemingly unconnected cases that will push a detective to the brink.

In Northern New South Wales, Detective Sergeant Kate Miles is nearing maternity leave when a violent robbery at a local fast-food restaurant stirs unsettling memories from her past.

As she prepares to leave work, she is also assigned to review a closed case involving a man who drowned in recent floods. What starts as a simple task soon escalates, forcing Kate to choose between submitting a conventional report or pursuing her own investigation.

Taken (Book TWO in the Detective Kate Miles series)

A parent’s worst nightmare. A case that’s too close to home.

Detective Sergeant Kate Miles returns from maternity leave to face mounting pressures, including the challenges of a second child, financial strain from her husband’s job loss, and a corruption scandal involving her father.

When an infant named Sienna goes missing from her bassinet, Kate is thrust into a high-profile case that raises questions about possible abduction versus family ties. As the media demands answers and her superiors seek to sideline her, Kate struggles to balance the needs of the distressed family with her own chaotic personal life.

Tipping Point (Book THREE in the Detective Kate Miles series)

A suicide. A shooting. And a reckoning, decades in the making.

Kate returns to her hometown to solve the mysterious deaths of three friends, involving her estranged brother as a person of interest. Finding herself, yet again, at the centre of a media storm, Kate must choose between loyalty to the police force, the bonds of friendship and blood.
