Creating a safe sanctuary to recharge and nurture yourself in a busy world may feel like a luxury but given the toll that our lack of self care takes on our body, mind and energy makes it more of an intentional necessity.
This is an invitation to explore creating safe sanctuary in your life in a way that supports you to thrive.
What is a Sanctuary in this context?
A sanctuary refers to a place of self care, self nurturance, self inquiry, recharge and restoration. It has an external as well as an internal component.
The external is a space or room in your home which is essentially just for you where you can retreat to. It may be as simple as a space in your house with a chair and side table which holds your favourite things… a book you are reading, a journal for reflection, a few crystals, a candle perhaps. If its an entire room you may want to create an alter with all your favourite things, somewhere where you can dance like nobody is watching.
Your internal sanctuary is your womb. The space we go as feminine beings to rest in self. The space we go to be nurtured and nourished by life. The space we go to birth and create. This deeply supports our physical, emotional and mental health… clearing, connecting and energising our field which in turn supports nervous system regulation. We will explore ways to support and cleanse our physical being to enhance our vitality and connection to self.
As you unwind from this year and prepare to enter a new year, you may find ourself listing resolutions, goals and objectives to serve your journey. These are all wonderful and may involve the doing and giving aspect of your life.
By learning how to create and honour safe sanctuary as a natural part of life you are prioritising receiving, giving space to receiving, giving space to connection with life itself. Filling your own cup on a regular basis from the inside out so that you may give to your hearts content.
As feminine beings we are designed this way, we are designed to receive from life, this is how we birth babies from the deeper realms into our bodies.
Given all that has transpired through history we have lost connection to this fundamental and foundational way of being feminine in this world.
Through this offering you open to reclaim this aspect of your feminine nature. Here you have the opportunity to reflect on how you would like to physically set up your Sanctuary.
