Description

The University of Melbourne are holding a cross disciplinary workshop for postgraduate researchers in fields relating to climate change science, impacts of climate change and climate change mitigation. We want to bring together researchers from a variety of disciplines to hear about current and emerging research, and potentially form future collaborations. The workshop is supported by ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes (CLEX) and Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).

We are seeking current students from any University in Victoria enrolled in Masters and PhD programs to present their research to the group. The presentations will go for approx 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of question time. Alternatively you may bring a poster that outlines your current research and participate in a 1 minute lightning presentation during a poster session.

The presentations will be along the themes of:

  • Climate Change Science

  • Impact of Climate Change

  • Mitigation of Climate Change

Expressions of interest to present at the event must be received by 5pm on Friday 17th August and include the theme of your presentation. You will provide the title of your presentation at a later date.

You are also welcome to attend the event if you are not presenting. Please RSVP for catering purposes by Friday 14th September 2018.

The event will include a light morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, and be followed by a networking event where drinks and nibbles will be served.
