Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia are visiting Perth and are coming to raise awareness about the Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot (CRISP) program. CRSA works with local community groups to support newly arrived refugees in their settlement to Australia. This presentation will provide information about the program and looking to recruit possible volunteers.

Come along to learn more and about what kinds of things you can do to support new refugee arrivals.

About Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia (CRSA) is an independent Australian charity leading civil society efforts to establish community sponsorship of refugees as a common practice throughout Australia. CRSA mobilises, trains, and supports groups of everyday Australians to provide settlement and integration support to refugees through the Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot (CRISP) program (funded by Department of Home Affairs).

This clip from ABC’s The Drum shows the CRISP program in action for a Syrian family on NSW’s Central Coast. The CRISP launched in May 2022 and since then has matched over 500 refugee newcomers with community supporter groups located right across Australia, including in Perth and regional WA.

This workshop will be help in the Freehills Lecture Theatre in the Law building 465.1.101 This will be a presentation and Q & A session.
