DANCE. Done Differently

PART ONE: TALK by Joanna Tsalikis (45 mins) Early 20th Century Innovators in Modern Dance and the Greek Ideal. An exploration of early 20th century dance movements, through the examination of three dance innovators: Isadora Duncan, Vaslav Nijinsky and Martha Graham. All 3 choreographers were profoundly influenced by the spirit of ancient Greece.

PART TWO: Dance Production (45 mins perfomance & 10 min Q&A) The talk will be complemented by a performance of contemporary and / or neoclassical dances performed by Adelaide Ballet Company. The dancers will be dancing to Greek music; timeless pieces of lyricised poetry, but not limited to. This will be followed by a 10 mins Q&A.
