Part of the Angel’s Share series, presented with Death of Classical
Please note in case of inclement weather the Rain Date for all performances is June 29, 2025.
Award-winning composer Dave Malloy calls his genre-defying Ghost Quartet "a song cycle about love, death, and whiskey," which is basically the entire artistic ethos of the Angel’s Share series! For the show's 10th anniversary, Malloy reunites with co-creators Brent Arnold, Brittain Ashford, and Gelsey Bell (whose opera morning//mourning graced the Catacombs last September).
For three nights, as the sun begins to set across Green-Wood, performers and audience members will come together for a large-scale outdoor performance nestled amid the Cemetery’s historic gravestones. Malloy's acclaimed, deeply moving work tells an interwoven tale spanning seven centuries, exploring the nature of narrative and how the stories we tell continue to haunt us across generations.
