These courses are a fantastic starting point for those who are curious about venturing into the competitive world of visual effects and entertainment design.

Take this rare opportunity to learn from professional artists in a fun, engaging environment.

What you will need:

(All items are optional but highly recommended)

The instructor will demonstrate digital art techniques using Photoshop & Blender.

However you are welcome to use whichever software you are comfortable with or use paper/pen/pencils/markers etc. What you learn during the workshop will be transferrable to any medium :)

Hardware Recommendations

- A laptop and drawing tablet (eg. Wacom and Huion have good drawing tablets) so that you can follow along, as we do not supply any equipment for our workshops.

- iPads may be used, although they are better suited to using alternative software (see Software List)

Software Recommendations

- Adobe Photoshop - You can take up a 7-day trial if you haven't used it before and would like to try it out.

- Other drawing programs include Manga studio, Krita, Corel Painter, Heavypaint, or Gimp.

- For iPad users we recommend Procreate

- Blender - free!

What if I don’t have a laptop or drawing software?

You can use a sketchbook and pencils/pens/markers, but just be mindful that the instructor will demonstrate digitally. The foundations of what you'll learn will be transferrable to any medium.
