About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Apart from hanging upside down and flitting through the night, the beautiful bat plays an important job keeping our environment healthy in Western Australia.

Local bat expert Kelly Sheldrick will present a fun, interactive session all about WA bats and how important these fascinating creatures are. Kelly studies our bats day and night. She counts them and observes them and will tell you all about her important work with hands-on activities and a show-and-tell of her equipment.

Did you know that bats can live for up to 41 years ?? They keep the mozzie population down and bat poo is super nourishing for our soil.
