What is the Electric Vehicle (EV) Test Drive Day?

Drive the Future - EV Test Drive is an opportunity for you to experience the latest electric vehicles (EVs) firsthand. You can test drive multiple EV models, learn more about their technology, and get all your questions answered by brand representatives. Come along to explore the world of EVs.

Do drivers need to sign any waivers to participate?

Yes, you will be required to sign waivers with the individual brands before taking a test drive. This is standard practice. While the vehicles will be insured, you will be liable for any insurance excess in the event of an 'at-fault' accident during your drive.

Can I order a vehicle or arrange finance or leasing on the day?

Absolutely! On the day, you’ll have the option to place orders and make deposits directly with the car companies. WhipSmart will be available to assist with any finance or leasing requirements or questions, inclduing novated leasing, which is currently fringe benefits tax (FBT) exempt for EVs.

Does taking a test drive mean I have to order a vehicle?

No, there is no obligation to order a vehicle just because you take a test drive. We encourage you to enjoy the experience, gather information, and make your decision when you’re ready. We will be happy to follow you up after the event and answer any questions you might have.

Will there be anyone to answer my questions about the vehicles and technology?

Yes, representatives from the participating brands will be there throughout the event to answer any questions you have about the vehicles, their technology, performance, and any other inquiries.

Can I bring my family or friends?

Absolutely! Friends and families are welcome to join you for the event. Passengers are also allowed to accompany you during your test drive - subject to the availability of seats in the vehicle.

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes, coffee, water, and breakfast/brunch snacks will be provided for all ticket holders and their guests to enjoy before or after test drives.

Will there be toilet facilities and parking available?

Yes, toilet facilities will be available on-site for your convenience. There will also be ample parking available for all attendees, so you can arrive and enjoy the day without any hassle.
