About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

This program provides information about the impact of dementia on driving. It offers tips for recognising when dementia is impacting on someone’s ability to drive safely, the importance of planning ahead, and acknowledging the significance of retiring from driving.

You will gain knowledge in:

  • the effects of dementia on driving
  • managing the impact of ceasing driving
  • relevant services and support.

Suitable for: People living with dementia who are still driving, and family members and carers of someone living with dementia. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.

Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This program is delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.

How do I access the online program?

There is no need to download any software in order to participate in this online workshop, therefore you will only need to click on the link to join the session at starting time.

It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
